Alberto Toccaceli was born in Italy in 1989. He graduated with honours in percussion instruments at “F. Morlacchi” Conservatory in Perugia under the guidance of Maurizio Trippitelli. During the following two years he then specialized with Ulrike Stadler (Professor at the University of Music in Graz and the Conservatory in Eisenstadt, Austria). 

In 2016 he achieved the Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory della Svizzera Italiana, in Lugano, Switzerland, under the guidance of B. Wulff, J. Belli e L. Malacrida and in 2018, in the same Conservatory, he then achieved Master of Arts in Music Performance. 

He has collaborated with many associations and foundations, among them the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Spontini Pergolesi in Jesi, Teatro stabile Mercadante in Naples, Fondazione Prometeo in Parma, Teatro Sociale di Como, Orchestra nazionale del Cinema in Rome and Fondazione Gioventù Musicale d’Italia, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Macao Symphony Orchestra, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra,  

He also performed in Festivals both in Italy and abroad: Ravello Festival, Tusciaopera Festival, Bangkok International Festival, Josp Fest, Milano Film festival, Mediterranean Games, Settimana Mozartiana and Maggio Teatino in Chieti. He has taken part in a number of tours in Italy, China, Thailand, Iran, France.

Since 2006 he has been a percussionist in Afro Sound Percussion, a percussion group that has collaborated with di Paolo Fresu, Cecilia Chailly, Stefano Di Battista, Solis String Quartet, Antonio Onorato and Enzo Gragnaniello. While since 2015 he has been a percussionist of the Civic Philharmonic in Lugano, Switzerland, a Wind Orchestra conducted by Franco Cesarini. Since 2017 he has been playing at LPE, the Lugano percussion ensemble.
